Veľký Meder is a town with a population of 9 113, lies near the souther border of western Slovakia, between Bratislava and Komárno, 10 km north of the border of Hungary (border cross point: Medveďov – Vámosszabadi).
The town is accessible by car, bus and train (Bratislava – Komárno).
